About this guide

Accessibility statement

The site is built to be read and used by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification or a small phone one-handed. This page says what has been done and how to report a problem.

What has been done

  • Semantic HTML with one H1 per page, one primary navigation landmark, and a skip link to the main content.
  • Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators; the mobile menu button announces its state.
  • Text and interface colours chosen to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast; text resizes with browser settings and the layout works at 390 px wide without horizontal scrolling.
  • Tables have captions and header cells; checklists and decision guides are real lists; expandable FAQ items use native controls.
  • Core content is plain HTML and does not depend on JavaScript. Images are labelled placeholders during staging and will carry descriptive alternative text in production.
  • No auto-playing media, no motion that cannot be paused, no time limits.

Known limitations

Photography placeholders describe the intended image rather than showing one. The Google-hosted font may be replaced by a system font if it fails to load; nothing depends on it.

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use, tell the editorial team through the route on the contact page, marking the message for the SurreyBraces.com editorial team, or by calling 604-589-2212 and asking for it to be passed on. Reported barriers are fixed in the next site revision.
